The
3 Most Important Things in Life
You need to know

... Yes, this IS personal. Jesus’ love for you is not a myth. It is not a nursery story. It is not a fantasy of people with weak minds. Jesus’ love for you is REAL. It is COURAGEOUS. It is ALWAYS CONSISTENT. And it is entirely SELF-SACRIFICING. In fact, so great is His love for you, that he gave Himself to be tortured and killed for you. I recently had a conversation with a young girl, 15 years old. I was explaining to her how Jesus allowed Himself to be mocked and spat upon. To be beaten beyond recognition. To be whipped till His back was raw. And then to be nailed to a wooden cross and hoisted into the air. “Do you know anyone else who would do that for you?” I asked. She thought for a few moments… then she said, “Yes.” I asked, “Who would that be?” She replied… “My dad.” My next question, “And why would he do that for you?” Again, she thought for a moment, then replied… “Because he loves me.” So, a young girl, only 15 years old, could recognise with just a few moments thought… that these actions of Jesus were the actions of: Someone who loves her deeply. Someone for whom no price is too high to protect her, to provide everything in life that’s best for her, and to preserve her future to the fullest extent of his ability. Maybe you’re 15 years old, maybe you’re not - but can’t you also grasp this truth that’s so plain to see? Jesus loves You! Perhaps you, too, need to give this some thought? Here are some Bible verses, to help: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." (John chapter 5 verse 13) "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans chapter 5 verse 8) "Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God." (Ephesians chapter 5 verse 2) ...
... What does this even mean? Well, according to the Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, to save means “to keep somebody/something safe from death, harm, loss, etc.” Because Jesus loves You so deeply, He allowed Himself to suffer all those things I described in point 1 above: To be mocked and spat upon. To be beaten beyond recognition. To be whipped till His back was raw. To be nailed to a wooden cross and hoisted into the air. He did all this to save You from death, harm and loss. Not just the physical kind… but also, much more importantly, the spiritual kind. God created You to have a meaningful, close, personal relationship with Himself during your life on earth - and to continue that relationship with Him into Eternity, after your life on earth comes to an end. But, as you may or may not be aware, there is a vicious, violent enemy stalking You. And his objective is to bring death, harm and loss to Your life – not just physically but also spiritually. We see in the Bible, that Jesus referred to this enemy who stalks you as “the thief.” And Jesus said this about him: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…” Then, Jesus also added: “I have come that they may have life… and have it to the full.” (John chapter 10 verse 10) The Bible also warns us to, “Be alert… Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." (1 Peter chapter 5 verse 8) The devil is a master deceiver. He may have concealed it from you till now – but he is determined to devour you. He is determined to multiply death, harm and loss not only in your physical world but also in your spiritual world – which is even more devastating. But Jesus suffered horrifically to save You from ALL this death, harm and loss! Jesus wants to bring you Freedom, Love, Peace, Joy, Fulfilment and Hope. Jesus calls this “life to the full.” Jesus wants to set you FREE from sin, pain, fear, addiction – and everything else that destroys your life! The devil wants to MULTIPLY your sin, pain, fear, sickness, addiction – and everything else that destroys your life! This is his version of “life to the full.” But that’s not where it ends. The sins the devil sucks you into – because they “feel so good” – have a terrifying sting in the tail. Not only will they separate you from God in this life, they will separate you from God for all Eternity - and imprison you forever in the torments of Hell. But, thanks be to God, Jesus suffered and died on the cross to save You from these horrific eternal torments, also! ...

1. Jesus loves you
2. Jesus gave His life to save yours
3. Jesus wants to be involved
in your life right now
... Involved? In what way? As we’ve seen, the horrific suffering Jesus endured on Your behalf vividly demonstrates His love for You. He is someone who loves you deeply. He is someone for whom no price is too high to protect you, to provide everything in life that’s best for you, and to preserve your future – on earth and throughout Eternity – to the fullest extent of His ability. We saw the Bible verse that says: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." (John chapter 5 verse 13) Jesus’ amazing aspiration for You is that you will accept His love. That you will recognise His willingness to endure humiliation, pain and death – to lay down His life without reservation – so He can have a real, meaningful, close and personal relationship with you. Jesus wants to be as close to you as your best friend – in fact, closer! How amazing is that? But, despite His great love for you, unless you invite Him in, Jesus remains excluded from your life. In the final book of the Bible, we read these words of Jesus: "... Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me." (Revelation chapter 3 verse 20) Jesus wants to be fully involved in your life – closer than your best friend, closer than your brother, closer than your sister! He wants to journey life with you – all the way to Eternity. That’s how You will KNOW that Your place in Heaven is secure. Jesus is knocking on the door of Your heart right now.
